Good afternoon, peeps! I hope you're all feeling good today and thank you for taking a peek at my blog!
Well it doesn't matter that this card looks a little out of season because the challenge at Digi Doodle Shop's Best this week is 'Anything Goes' and I do hope you'll be able to come along and join us.
I love the image I've used on this card - the look of concentration on this little blonde haired beauty's face as she tries to put on her shoe is so typical of young children as they try to do these things for themselves.
I've coloured her with Copics and the colours are listed below. The distressing around the image and on the tag inside is with Adirondack Aqua, just applied with a make up sponge. You can see the tag in this piccie:
I've noticed that a number of you out there in the blogosphere are creating this kind of finish inside your cards and I really like it and I've decided it's for me - it makes the card look more complete, I think!
The DPs are Basic Grey Kioshi, which I think are yummy - wonderful colours and designs! The butterflies on the inside and on the front of the card were punched with my Martha Stewart punches and the small ones on the front are glitzed with Stardust Stickles. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are from another punch that I don't have access to at the mo so I'll come back and edit this post when I find it! The sentiment is another from the Pink Petticoat Girly Curly Sentiments and there's just about something for everything in this collection.
Skin: E000, E00, E21, R11, R20
Hair: E50, E51, E53, YR21

Shoes: E31 E33, E35
Chair: G000, G00, BG11, BG72, 0
Shadow: W5 W3, W1, 0
I also used a grey Faber Castell watercolour pencil (without the water!) to deepen the shading.
I do hope you like this one and I'll 'see' you all again soon!
Bye for now

Good morning, peeps and it certainly was a cold one here this morning but it's clear blue sky and sunshine now - wonderful!
Good light meant I could take some photographs this morning, yippee! The light was dreadful yesterday. So, here is the result, Mo Manning's wonderful drawing of the Christmas Fairy Holly. Isn't she gorgeous?
I've used the sketch from the Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog and will be entering this one there.
The DPs are from a collection I picked up at my local craft shop and all it says on the back is 'Carol Wilson Fine Arts Inc.' and each piece is mounted on Bazill card. I really like these papers from the colours in them to the wonderful sparkles on the paper with the snowflake pattern! The holly leaves are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the berries are from Craftwork Cards.
The sentment is from a wonderful collection of digital sentiments available from Pink Petticoat called Girly Curly Sentiments. It's a really good buy and I heartily recommend them.
The fairy is coloured with my Copics (of course!) and the colours are:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, R11, R20
Hair: E50, E51, E53, E57, YR21
Skirt: V12, V15, V17
Sash/Shoes: B000, B00, B02
Holly: YG23, YG67, G28, G29
Shadow (surrounding her): Y000, Y00, Y02, 0
Shadow(at her feet): W1, W3, W5, 0
I'm also going to enter this card in the Totally Gorjuss Challenge 53 which is 'Sparkle'.
I can now tick another Christmas card off my list and I hope you like it.
Bye for now!

Good morning, peeps and I hope you're all keeping warm today!
'Keep it Simple' is the challenge from Digi Doodle Shop's Best this week - that means no DP and only one embellishment....hmmmm. That made me think! Well, this card is the result and I love this image of the kitten and the mouse and it's available here. I think the way that the kitten's tail is providing a warm blanket for the mouse is just so cute and it was a joy to colour with my Copics! It's also what led to the choice of sentiment, which is from Lili of the Valley. Anyhoo, my answer to this challenge was to sponge Distress Ink on to plain white card in three colours, Broken China, Pine Needles and Scattered Straw, splash the inked card with water, wait a few seconds for the ink to lift into the blobs of water then blot it off with paper towel - all a la Tim Holtz. The three panels going horizontally across the card are embossed with the Cuttlebug Butterflies folder then I wiped the Cut-n-Dry foam inked with Broken China across the embossing and distressed the edges with the same colour. The ribbon bow is the one embellishment allowed.
Kitten: E50, E51, E31, E33, E35, E99, R11
Mouse: W1, W3, W5, R11
Cushion: G05, G17, G28, G29
Cord around the cushion: YR21, YR23, YR24
Background: BG10, BG11,0
Ball of wool: E13, E15, E19
I hope you like this and do come and join us at Digi Doodle Shop's Best for this week's challenge. I'm also entering this for the following challenges:
Top Tip Tuesday Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin Challenge Ribbon

Well good afternoon, peeps! It's getting colder so I thought I'd better make another Christmas card and the inspiration for this one came from the DP on the base part of this easel card - it reminded me of skating tracks in ice. It's from a nameless K & Co pad I picked up at a reduced price at the NEC last March but, even though the pad was reduced, I think it's the most expensive pad I've ever bought but then, there are 50 assorted sheets in it. We can always find an excuse can't we! LOL The other DP is from Bo Bunny.
I coloured Tilda and Edwin ages ago so I don't have any Copic colours for them but the trees were coloured with G20, YG45, YG67 and G99 with C1 and C3 for the snow on the trees. I then put Glamour Dust on the snow part, just as I did on the large white pointsettia.
The gorgeous ribbon is from the boys at Fantastic Ribbons and I got it at the Harrogate show. The charm, pearl brad and pointsettia flowers are from the Hobby House and the crystal chandelier thingy is from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I'm entering this in the Craftalicious Challenge 10, which is Anything Goes and also in the Quixotic Paperie first monthly challenge, which is to make a Christmas card.
Thank you for looking and I do hope you like this latest addition.
Bye for now.

Do you remember kicking up leaves like this as a child? I do and it was always such great fun! It made me wonder why I don't just put on my wellies and go and have a good kick about in the fallen leaves now- that would probably convince all the passers by that I have finally lost it!
Anyhoo, the challenge for this week over at Digi Doodle Shop's Best is 'These are My Peeps'. Basically your entry needs to have a person depicted on it and this card is my DT entry for this week. I think I'm in my orange period although the colours really haven't come out too well on this photograph - the weather had been so dull when it was taken!
I chose this image called 'It's all in the Fall' (an interesting play on words there!) because it just seemed so appropriate for the moment and you can buy it here. It was great fun grabbing all the colours of Autumn to colour in all the leaves so I haven't listed these Copics below because there were just too many to list but the other colours I used are listed below. The DPs are from my stash, MME Bloom and Grow and Blonde Moments Spring Fling collection. The lovely ticket sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and you can buy it here at Bunny Zoe's Crafts where the lovely Nikki has a very efficient mail order service. It's actually sold out at the moment but I'm sure it will be back in stock soon.
I'm entering this card for the following challenges:
Sketch Saturday Challenge 124
Allsorts Challenge week 73 where we have to take our inspiration from a song title - mine is 'Autumn Leaves by Nat King Cole (of course!!)
Stamp Something where the challenge is 'Something Punchy' where we have to use punched images on our entry.
Skin: E000, E00, E21, R11, R20
Hair: YR20, YR21, E35
Shirt & socks: B000, B02, B04
Shoes (both pairs): E43 E44, E47, W3, W5, W7
Background: Y0000, Y00
Grass: YG95, YG25, G20, YG03, YG93, YG97
Well that's all from me for the moment - I hope you like the card and thank you for looking.

Good morning, peeps and a lovely sunny one it is too!
The reason this is a dual celebration is, firstly that number one grandson is 17 tomorrow and this is his birthday card and secondly, it's my first DT card sample for Digi Doodle Shop's Best...woohoo! The challenge this week is 'Orange you glad' - we have to use orange on our project, and I just couldn't resist this image of the mice having a party in this Jack 'o Lantern! Especially cute is the baby mouse asleep under his leaf blanket in the bottom right-hand corner - what imagination the artist has to create an image like this!
It was a joy to colour and watch the pumpkin take on depth and dimension as I used my Copics. The colours I used were:
Pumpkin: YR00, YR12, YR15, YR18
Stalk: YG13, YG25, YG95, YG97
Mice: E41, E42, E43, E44
Spoon: C1, C3
Grass: All the colours that were in the stalk + YG00, YG01, YG03
Sky: W1, B000, Colourless blender and pale blue chalk
The DPs are from American Crafts, the flourish is cut from a Marianne D die, the label for the sentiment is a Spellbinder one and the sentiment itself is from Lili of the Valley. The ribbon and button are from my stash.
I'm also entering this for a few challenges:
Stamp Challenges Something to Celebrate
Stampin' for the Weekend Use the colours of Autumn
An Oldie but a Goodie All Creatures Great and Small
Thank you for looking today, everyone and I hope you like my first DT efforts - I hope my grandson, Matt does too since it's for his birthday!
Bye for now,
Monday, 4 October 2010
Good evening, peeps! I hope you've all had a good day and that you had a good weekend too - despite the weather here in the UK!
First of all, I thought I'd challenge myself to make a card the same but not at all the same at all, if you understand me! In other words this is another tri-fold shutter card but I hope it looks a whole lot different from the last.
The image is Christmas Morning Tilda, which is a delight to colour with all those flowing locks and all the folds in her pretty dress. The lovely DPs are from Kars Speciality Paper Pad, which has 24 sheets of lovely and slightly different Christmas papers.
The charm is from a selection at The Works and the lovely organza ribbon and the roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The other little flowers are from my stash and have been there for a long time! I only wish I'd kept a note of the Copics I used to match the papers. However, the good news is that the next card I post will have the Copic colours with it!
Speaking of the next card I post brings me to my news....I'm really happy to say that I've been accepted to join Digi Doodle Shop's Best, which means that I'm on their Design Team for the next six months! WoooHooo!!! Aren't I the lucky one getting to produce a card from one of their wonderful images every week? I'm so looking forward to it.
See you soon for the first of the challenges on Thursday!
